Hmmm. Confusing is the word. I wish they were Monaco tickets... with another go, we couldn't have done worse. Carragher for pope when John Paul the Old Bugger pops his papal clogs...

I still reckon we'll get through. If we can't beat Olympiakosasko...Olympiakos...that Greek team by a couple of goals at home then we really don't deserve to go through. The atmosphere at big must win European games like that is usually great as well, I'm jealous of you all.

Don't underestimate Olympiakos, one of the best teams of the current European champions! Sounds like a goalless draw.

i think we'll be struggling to beat anyone with no strikers. even the back-up, fill-in strikers are getting crocked now.

should be a good night though, and 1-0 will apparently do, say uefa after solving a number of tricky differential equations.

won't any sort of win do as long as Monaco don't win their game? seeing as the two would then be level on points but Liverpool, having beat Monaco by more goals than they beat Liverpool, would then go through based on what I just said about scores between the two... no?

oh, and... Olympiakos... top of the group at the moment... with a whopping 4 goals in 5 games... looks a bit like 'score against them and you'll probably win' for Liverpool, with the game being away from Greece... Not that I want to tempt fate. ahem.

hmmm... I've just read about it on the Liverpool website. 1-0 will guarantee progress. Nice.

but Luis Garcia out for a month now as well? hmmm... why didn't Pongolle get on at all last night? fellow countrymen and all that

can't believe the ref was so bent as to allow Monaco's goal after the clear as day handball by Saviola, tho...

Nice one Hew! Smile

this one's for Setareh :

It's official now - Barnsley Football Club is bigger than Juventus. Wink
In the latest Observer it stated that Juve's Champions League crowd average was slightly smaller than Barnsley's in the league. That's quite hard to believe but apparently it's true!

And you know, we'll get more when we qualify for Europe! Rolling Eyes

(Juve only got 7000+ for the Ajax match last week)

I think that Frank's site got taken down because of bandwidth problems - unsurprisingly.

Still, it was very very good while it lasted Sad

My wife just videoed freakin' BEARS over my copy of the game. Ican't wait to see her face the next time she sits down to watch her copy of Bridget Jones' Diary... bwah hah hah hah!

She's got two hours of extreme truck racing now.

A sad day for all true football fans (does not include Freddy Shepherd and Alex Hamilton) - Wrexham FC has been put into administration, and the Football League will deduct 10 points from them (that's the new stupid rule).
Sad Good luck Wrexham! I know it's not nice when your favourite club is in the administration, only true football fans can understand that, but I wouldn't wish this even for my most hated football club.

Also, Freddy Shepherd, the Newcastle United chairman - what a fucking wanker! Evil or Very Mad
"When we have 52000 fans at each home game the last thing we should be worried about is clubs in third division."
"The others can't hold us back, the time will come, I think, when it is the Premier League running the whole show. Many of these other clubs will have to go part-time".

Fuck off, I hope you get a heart attack Freddy Shepherd because the last thing I should be worried about is some fat fucking bastard in Newcastle.

freddy shepard is scum, he proved that years ago. how the toon fans let him carry on after his comments beggars belief. footy fans don't seem to stick up for themselves until its too late it seems. maybe because the reality is that they cant change anything, i know man utd fans do a lot (pete boyle, despite being man u, is a genuine working class rabble rouser and i love him) but they will never compete with the market forces that run the show. man utd fans did NOT stop the sky/bsb takeover although many of them claim they did. it was stopped by the monopolies commision (i think). otherwise they would be playing in the murdoch stadium. the fact that not one club is willing to help wrexham (a donation from every prem league player would more than suffice) makes me sick and increases my hatred for everyone involved in football (except stuart hall of course). damn you football, you greedy, cold, heartless, exciting, beautiful bastard.
