the only album I've got by Bright Eyes is 'Fevers and Mirrors'. Some of the tracks are really good but overall its a bit patchy. They're great live though. |

You have to get 'Lifted or The Story.........'. It's his best album, and one of the best albums ever.
Fever and Mirrors is probably the next best to get after that. Letting off the happiness is very home demoey, so is not essential.
Every Day and Every Night EP is excellent, and well worth purusing if you want an idea of what his earlier work was like.
and the One Jug of Wine Two Vessels EP he did with Neva Dinova last year, was in my opinion the best thing released in 2004, but there's probably more ND on there than Bright Eyes.
You can get most of this stuff at the wichita site.

I think Fevers & Mirrors is better than Lifted...
There I said it. I have no arguements to back this up with. _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

if you like bright eyes i suggest checking out The Good Life. They are from Omaha and on saddle creek. Black Out and Album of The Year are the names of their records. wicked. _________________ Martin O'Neill's Claret And Blue Army |

I'm going to see Bright Eyes in a couple of weeks. I finished my job last week and my leaving present was a couple of tickets to go to see them, how good is that! I must leave places more often. |

haven't really listened to it much recently, but my memory is that it is (in common with most compilations) a bit patchy. definitely some good songs, and it gives a good idea of what bands are like if you haven't heard them.
do you want it? |

Well, unless there's someone else who desperately wants it, I suppose it would be cool to have it. I was going to buy something from the Wichita website just to get it actually, so now I wouldn't have to do that which would be ace. Just add that to my bill, haha! I'll send you the money on Monday... it's starting to bother me too much now. _________________
