| We did well - a great finish for the goal, Harry Kewell has turned into a samurai and the number 3 for Anderlecht was the spitting image of the lead singer of Erasure. It was everything you could want from a football match. |

we are awful at the moment. keepers have barely made a save all season, defensive looks vulnerable especially without carragher, midfield is creating nothing and strikers carry no goal threat at all.
if it wasn't for performances in europe rafa would be in a bit of trouble. |

i thought tonight would be the night we'd turn things around. a comfortable 2-0 win and our strikers getting a bit of confidence. But that definitely didn't happen, our strikers look so scared to shoot. I reckon we stick Cisse in the team at centre forward for 6 games in a row and see how he does. Having said that he didn't look too clever at the weekend. I thought Kewell has looked promising the past couple of games though, no matter how many times he lets me down I still believe in him, i am a fool.
Please let us get better very soon, I can't face a winter of us playing like this. |

in the Spanish league, Real Madrid lost again tonight, this time away against Deportivo la Coruna (3-1)
Barcelona beat Malaga 2-0 at home
(they got a lucky penalty in the end and then scored another one after that)
and in Italy Setareh's favourites (a.k.a. Juventus) are going strong, they've won the first 9 games of the season and that's apparently some sort of a record in Serie A. Tonight they beat Sampdoria 2-0 at home.
AC Milan took all three points against Empoli (1-3)
Inter Milan lost 2-3 at home against AS Roma, Totti and Veron were both sent off for fighting, ugly bastards.
Fiorentina are now third in the league, they won Siena 2-0 at home tonight. Good for them!

| The interview with Alan Shearer after the match last night is now officially my favourite bit of TV ever. Someone should punch him in the face before he next works his punditry magic for the BBC as he's infinitely more interesting when he's angry. |

Yeah in that BBC interview he sounded like he'd calmed down a bit. Sky interviewed him straight after the game and he sounded like he wanted to kill someone. You can download it here but its a huge file.
