I've just bought 'Selected Ambient Work' and really liked it. I realise it came out about 10 years ago but there seems to be no decent new albums around right now. Which Aphex Twin album should I buy next?

So that’s why the Boo's really split up. You resorted to injuring Rob in an attempt to push back musical boundaries.

Thanks for that, I'll buy it over the weekend if I have any cash left over after The Grand National.

Selected ambient works Vol II of course!

Its a lot more atmospheric and sinister than vol I, with less beats. Perfect for playing Tomb Raider.

I bought 'Richard D James' album, its incredible, how does he think up stuff like that, never mind actually record it. It’s the first "I've never heard anything like that before" which I've bought in ages.

just been on the "listen again" bit on radio one's website - there is a 40 odd minute mix of pure aphex on there and it's lush Smile
well worth a listen if you can catch it before it's gone again

To be fair to me that post was from 18 months ago - before I'd heard the Kinkster mix. I struggle to maintain a coherent arguement within the space of a single paragraph, nevermind over that period of time.

That Hope of The States one at the start of your mix is a big epic thing, I'd totally forgotten about them.

Underworld have done two mp3 "bundle" things which I've just logged in to buy, but apparently there's problems with the 'payment gateway' so i'll have to wait until tomorrow.
