Last week me and my mother were talking about Glenn Ford and how he must be really old since he looked middle aged even in the 50s.
The next morning I checked teletext, as I always do, and it said that Glenn Ford had just died in his home in California. Spooky if you ask me.
Glenn played many different charachters in his life, crooks and angels, including "The courtship of Eddie's father" in which he was Ron Howard's father...Ron was a cute child at the time (it wasn't his biggest film but you'll know of Ron H).

Falcogon "Barry" Barricade
................
23/07/93 - 08/09/06
................
My mum called me this morning and told me the bad news - my poor old Barry, the coolest dog on the planet, had died during the night. I can't believe it really, he's been there for the last 13 years and now he's gone. So many good memories (well, also bad ones, but they're just quite funny to think about now) that I'll never forget...
So, fare thee well Barry, you crazy super furry animal, you'll be missed.

Anita Roddick, the founder of The Body Shop.
She 'sold off' her company to engage more in humanitarian causes, shame she wasn't alive long enough to do more.

Jane Wyman, at the age of 93. Most of you know will know her from "Falcon Crest", I think, but she has a career before that, co-starring with hunko himself Rock Hudson (she was the older divorcé/widow to his younger man).

I was looking for some information about Wilco's upcoming gig in Finland, but found this instead:
Jay Bennett dies at age 45
Bennett left Wilco eight years ago and I've never heard his solo albums or other projects, but just being a part of the excellent "Summerteeth" and "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" albums makes him a bit of a legend.
RIP Jay 1963-2009 _________________
