Heh, I've missed those awful puns of yours. Laughing
I can't come up with an equally bad one, so I'm just gonna wish you merry xmas now and all the best for 2008.

a late Christmas present for everyone... or just for Tommy BOO, who doesn't seem to have it (if you can believe that). I even forgot I had it myself... a live version of It's Lulu from Glasgow in 1994, according to the Melody Maker CD, 'The Sound City Sessions', where I got it.

If you want it, here's a choice of places to download it:

meanwhile, Santa brought me Barnsley (...And Me) - it's great. Very Happy Full of full-time football results, rants, drawings and witty observations from Tommy. Who'd have thought a book about Barnsley could be so interesting?!

Yes, it was some kind of Radio 1 gig - I had the whole thing on casette at one time, after taping it off Steve Lamacq.... - no idea what happened to that tape though. My mum probably through it out with my Transformers and Star Wars toys.

Radio 1
Sound City
One Live
In Liverpool

is the full name of the CD... so, naturally, they put on a Boo Radleys performance from their home town of ...er, Glasgow?

Mark Lawrenson (in Liverpool shirt) and Gary Lineker (in Everton shirt) on the sleeve... and none of the few live tracks on the disc actually played in Liverpool (instead, Leeds, Bristol, Oxford and Glasgow again). Where there's a studio track, they put 'Liverpool 99' underneath. Whatever that's about...

Carr will be happy, it's like his own little version of the Dylan Manchester/London "Judas"gig bootleg.

Carr will be happy? about what? And why is it 'his own little version of the Dylan Manchester/London "Judas"gig bootleg'? I think I'm lost!

oh well, here's another rarity, seeing as you all loved the last one so much
http://download.yousendit.com/180B6B29245AF8B6

it's a live & acoustic 'Find The Answer Within' off Radio 1 (from 'The Mark Radcliffe Show' on 27/4/'95), taken from the CD entitled:
. . . HOLD ON
MELODY MAKER and BBC RADIO 1 FM
in support of THE SAMARITANS

(you'll also find it on that bootleg compilation, 'Boo Sides Collection')

Next up: a live '(I Wanna Be) Touchdown Jesus' (not on the above compilation, or mentioned on any fansite I've seen)

The famous Bob Dylan "Judas" show circulated as a bootleg for decades marked as "Royal Albert Hall", but was actually recorded in Manchester... So it's similar to the whole confusion of locations with the NME CD... (and Martin likes 60s Dylan...)
