If anyone is going to the BC gig in London on Thursday the 30th, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take some recording equipment along as I think everyone on this site is longing to hear this "sneak preview of work in progress on the magical new bravecaptain album", especially those of us who won't be able to make it.

Yeah!
It would be good to hear it because I have no idea what's BC's new stuff like! _________________

Speaking of Thursday.
Has anyone else heard the band of the same name or am I on my own here?
As a rough guide, if you like Muse, you should like them. Kind of metal with tinges of hardcore but with an incredible energy. Just released an album on Island called War All The Time, previous one was called Full Collapse but was on an indie label. This is also excellent.
They should be huge, by rights.
Oh yeah and live recording detail would be a good idea too! |

I haven't heard of them.
But then again, that's not very surprising.
Che might want to check them out.
By the way, the official Muse website is pretty cool.
You can listen to their music there.

It's nothing like www.bravecaptain.co.uk though _________________

They did!
Understanding.. is the opener from Full Collapse & it carries on at the same sort of pace. True, there isn't much variation in sound but it's fantastic all the same.
Buy borrow steal or download it if you can! _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |

ok, does anyone have a rough idea of stage times? haven't slept in days, off to see alan sparhawk (him out of low, can't wait) and her space holiday tonight, so another late one, and getting home from brick lane is a pisser for me if I have to rely on the nightbus. The Guardian reckoned bravecaptain is quite low on the bill - anyone know if I can do the show and still catch the last tube home? loath to miss the gig

count yourself lucky having the option of the tube mr.casper, those of us on the northern line are travelling around by pony and trap.
can i get a ticket on the door by the way? haven't bought in advance as i didn't know if i'd be working or not. |

the tube's only the start - from the gig I got to catch a tube to charing x or london bridge or somewhere, then get a bloody connex to my local station and then hope a bus turns up in good time for me to get home to get into bed and do a similar thing in reverse a couple of hours later.
still, shouldn't moan - at least traveling for a couple of hours (albeit for not actually that far) will actually get me to where's something happening - not like cornwall where i grew up and actually did travel by horse and trap...
and cheers, tom
