YEAHA! I have The Strokes new album!!!!!!!! MAAAHOOOO!!!

I went to the record store yesterday to ask them to reserve a copy for me, and he said they already had it, even though the release date is on Monday. So the real thing is with me now and it's faboooooo.

And I don't care what anyone says about them being copies of who and crap at what...I'm happy as I am listening!

That was me, the automatic log in thing is messed up. Sparky help! My OS is Swedish and I did not find the third part cookie or whatever it is called. L&P

Setareh - Go to the Tools menu (up there, second from right) then Internet Options (far below in the drop menu), then click on Privacy (third menu from left) then Advanced (button in the middle)... It brings you to another window. You might have to check the upper box, then select "Accept" for the both First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies.
I'm not sure about the Swedish names but this should help you.

I hope that you like the new Strokes album. I never even bought the first one, I've heard a couple of songs from it and it's quite decent but nothing too brilliant I would spend my money on.

Have a good day.

AH but you don't get The Strokes, they get better with each listen. I started out not liking them, I thought Last Nite was a bore and then the more I heard the more in love I fell.

Thank you for trying about the cookie thing, but I read the instruction Sparky gave you in another thread and I can't find the damn thing, I get to advanced, that's as far as I get.

I just wanna watch you gooooooooo byyyyyyyyy...

What Windows version you're using, Setareh?
Can't you see anything about "cookies" there?

I have XP, and I'm very frustrated because now the messages don't turn read when new messages are added. L&P

You're failing in your duties here Tommy. Very Happy

I like The Strokes, it's the New York Dolls/ Stooges thing that attracts me. I've had the album for a couple of weeks & it does grow.

Seterah, you should check out the mighty Hanoi Rocks if you're into The Strokes. An early album like Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes... or Back To Mystery City perhaps. Wonderful.
While you're at it, see if you can dig up a New York Dolls compilation or some Johnny Thunders. Personality Crisis was even used on an advert for Renault or something a few years ago in the Uk.

I will probably check them out then.
Especially when the suggestion comes from another Hanoi Rocks veteran. Laughing No offense Setareh, you're a star. Wink Listen to Dubya-T though, the man knows what he's talking about. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, thanks, I'll try to find the old Strokes album somewhere.

Hhhmmm...okay...I realize it's a secularized world and the word of God is irrelevant these days. It doesn't make me happy but I accept it.

I heard the new Strokes single for the first time last night on Top Of The Pops (why on Earth I hadn't heard it before then, I have no clue. Promotion, please!) and I must say I enjoyed it. Nice "Tron" theme going on in the video to co-incide with the release of the PC game.

Looks like old 'Fernando' Casablancas still hasn't got himself a microphone that works though. Wink Hee hee!

He has ear problems and can thus not hear when something's up Wink

Yes, the tron thing is cool, especially when he spins the glow in the dark microphone.

Julian Fernando Casalancas.

I had to say his name again, cos it's so fabulous. L&P

Yep. I'll probably be purchasing the new album tomorrow as I loved "Is This It". Well... if I have any money left after buying Suede and Super Furry Animals.

Ooh, and Max Payne 2 is this week too... erm... might have to take a raincheck on that Strokes CD after all. Hee hee!

I thought it would be next year or something! Shocked
Gotta try that one, the first one was pretty cool.
