I've only heard one tune by them which I thought was pretty ace.

Anyone got the album? What do ya think?

cheers

I like some of the songs but as an album it is too all over the place. I find it hard to listen to all of it in one sitting but i don't think it is shit, its just alright

bsp was the best gig of the year for me in 2003 - and man it was a good year for gigs. took me a long time to "get" the album, but now i do i love it. in agreement about outkast too! i would also like to get an early recommendation in for the next single by franz ferdinand which i think is out in a week or two, some of the folks on this board will appreciate it. s'been a good harvest this year...

Yeah I put that Franz Ferdinand single in my single of the year list, not realising it wasn't out until this Monday!!!

I have got a lot of new albums this month, so bsp will have to wait a little longer..... I did actually buy it a week ago..... only to find out there was no CD in there! upon returning it found it had been stolen and was only copy in the shop, and indeed the whole of Sheffield!!

Franz Ferdinand is indeed good.
Grabbed it from the alt.binaries... last week, top stuff.

What are the reference points though?
It's kind of New Wave but I can't put my finger on it.

There's bits of everything in there, Talking Heads, Pulp, Strokes, Television. Track 11 completely takes off 'atomic' but who cares, its super.

Well after a few weeks listening I can now say the BSP is easily my album of 2003.
