Yes very interesting. Could still go any way really. We havn't played brilliantly this season but still seem to grind out results. I thought Norwich stole a bit of psychological advantage when they signed huckerby but then lost 0-1 to bradford this weekend. It's a funny old game innit? have had many happy trips to oakwell, carrow road and bramall over the years but now live in south london and go to see the baggies about 3-4 times per season (sad armchair fan)

Just need to win our game in hand to nestle between you too now Smile though all that really matter is staying in that position once we get there!

Ok, I couldn't be arsed to put the FA cup results here earlier this week, I was too depressed because of the 'shocking' Barnsley defeat in the hands of the mighty Scunthorpe United.

Anyway, here are today's earlier results.

Wolves 1 - 0 Man United
1-0 Kenny Miller 67 (yeeeeeeeeees!!!)

Preston 2 - 4 Wigan
0-1 Jason Roberts 1
1-1 Dickson Etuhu 30
1-2 Nathan Ellington 45
1-3 Gary Teale 72
1-4 Nathan Ellington 80
2-4 Graham Alexander 86 (pen)

Loads of goals today, can't be bothered to type all the goalscorers!!! Shocked

Tottenham 2 - 1 Liverpool
Looks like Liverpool are shite too.

Middlesbrough 3 - 3 Leicester
Two 2nd half injury time goals for Middlesbrough!

Ipswich 6 - 4 Crewe Exclamation
2 goals Shefki Kuqi (Ipswich)

Rotherham 4 - 4 Norwich
Hat-trick for Martin Butler (Rotherham)

Walsall 1 - 6 Coventry

Watford 1 - 5 C. Palace

Barnsley 1 - 1 Bournemouth
Barnsley hit the post twice and had a goal disallowed. Bad luck. Sad

Bristol City 4 - 0 Chesterfield
Bristol C still pushing for automatic promotion.

Luton 2 - 2 Stockport

Oldham 1 - 1 Sheffield Wed
'The big club' is sinking like a stone at the moment. That will teach 'em a lesson! Twisted Evil

Plymouth 3 - 0 Rushden & D
Plymouth on their way to Division One.

Port Vale 5 - 1 Grimsby
Port Vale also still pushing for promotion.

QPR 2 - 1 Brighton & H.A.
QPR will take the other automatic promotion place this season.

Southend 0 - 2 Doncaster
Doncaster doing extremely well at the moment. Promotion to Division 1 would be good (and deserved) Come on Donny!!

Idea

Well, I've probably said the same a million times before... but... Sheffield Wednesday fans are probably the most arrogant group of football fans in England. Not all of them of course but I've met too many Owls fans who are real idiots during my life - they all still think they're a Big Club with a great football ground and everything, they thought they would easily get promoted this season and they've always thought they're bigger than other Yorkshire clubs. Now they're battling against relegation to Division Three and their greatest moment of joy this season was when they signed an old reserve player from Rotherham (Mark Robins), from a club they've always laughed at! Maybe they will soon realise that they're not a big club anymore!

By the way, one of my best friends in England is a Sheffield Wednesday fan, and I know others who are really nice people too, so I don't hate anyone just because of that. My friend sometimes shows his dark side though when he's drunk... Hopefully he's not reading this!! Rolling Eyes

Saturday evening game:
Sheffield United 3 - 3 West Ham

Sunday 18th
Aston Villa 0 - 2 Arsenal
Thierry Henry 29 + 53 (pen)

Chelsea 0 - 0 Birmingham

I watched Aston Villa V Arsenal and once again I was disgusted by some fans' behaviour. Why there has to be so much hatred in football? Sad

Thierry Henry's chasing Aston Villa's Samuel who has the ball. Samuel throws an arm out and hits Henry in the mouth, probably accidental though. Henry falls down and the home fans are booing at him. He gets up a few seconds later with blood pouring from his lip and has to walk towards the Villa fans (outside the pitch) for treatment, he's clearly injured. He is faced with a crowd swearing, gesticulating, some stood with absolute hatred in their faces - fortunately Thierry Henry is a true professional so he just ignored them.
But that's a bloody disgrace, all those fucking knobheads should be shot. Evil or Very Mad I was happy to see Henry score twice in that match - that should shut the morons up for a while.

So because many Wednesday fans are idiots, the club deserves to perish?

Well... Yes, you got it right Kris. Wink
I don't want them to go out of business or anything of course, that would be tragic and I don't want that happen to any club. I only want them do badly in football, not in business.
I don't think it's going to happen, but I won't be too sad if Sheffield Wednesday go down to Division Three this year. They will rise again, and that would probably make their fans less arrogant.
I feel the same way about Leeds actually... Haha. If they get relegated this season, I... Although it would quite certainly mean that they go out of business and that's something I don't want. Now Leeds United are probably going to sell their homeground Elland Road, and they could play their matches at the Oakwell until they get a new stadium! Even though I dislike Leeds United, I would still welcome them with open arms if that helps them to avoid the bankruptcy!

I was there. Two good goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. Fortune-West in the 2nd minute and McIndoe in the 8th, but after that, Rovers seemed to sit back. Yes, Division 1 would be nice but let's concentrate on getting to Division 2 first.

Am I starting to sound like some kind of manager? Oh well, come on you reds!!!

Melz.
