Doncaster doing extremely well at the moment. Promotion to Division 1 would be good (and deserved) Come on Donny!!

I was there. Two good goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. Fortune-West in the 2nd minute and McIndoe in the 8th, but after that, Rovers seemed to sit back. Yes, Division 1 would be nice but let's concentrate on getting to Division 2 first.

Haha... Oops... I meant Division 2 of course. Smile

Rest in Peace, Miklós Fehér

Just heard the tragic news when I woke up a while ago:
Hungary international and Benfica star Miklós Fehér has died at the age of 24. He collapsed during the Portuguese Premier League match against Vitoria Guimaraes last night, they say he suffered a heart attack, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. Miklós was rushed to the hospital but his life couldn't be saved anymore.

Benfica won the match 0-1 but what does it really matter now?

Rest in Peace Miklós Fehér. Sad

Sad news from Sweden: a 30-year old player of a lower division Swedish club has died today during the team's training session, only a day after Miklós Fehér's death. I only heard it on radio so I don't have any more information, maybe Setareh knows more. Question

Well this month is a cruncher for the top 3 in Division One, with The Blades played both teams above them in little over 3 weeks........

ON THE BALL CITY

Kick it off, throw it in
have a little scrimmage
Keep it low, a spendid rush
bravo, win or die

ON THE BALL CITY
never mind the danger
Steady on, nows your chance
Hurrah! We've scored

CITY! CITY! CITY!

Paul, I saw the match on TV (+ listened to the Barnsley match at the same time!) and I must say Norwich were very lucky today. Darren Huckerby was a real disgrace, he should have been sent off on the first half - first yellow card for diving in the penalty box and then a horrible late tackle from behind just a bit later, in fact that could have been a straight red card. Norwich controlled the ball quite well at times but never created any chances, except for one around 60th minute when Iwan Roberts scored after two lucky bounces. Sheffield United had two fairly good chances in the game, a free header by Robert Page on the first half (that was a terrible header though) and a great chance by Wayne Allison on the second half, but he somehow managed to put the ball wide from 6 yards! Norwich also had a great chance to extend their lead, the low shot from the corner of the area beat the United keeper but it was just inches wide from the post. Sheffield United also had a clear penalty turned down on the second half.
Both teams had quite a solid defence and there were no real goalscoring chances (except for the one of course) so a goalless draw would have been a fair result today, but Norwich were more lucky today. That was quite a boring match to watch to be honest (Notts County - Barnsley even sounded better!Wink )
Darren Huckerby shouldn't have been allowed to play 90 minutes, his constant whining annoyed me and the horrible late tackle from behind at the United keeper was simply awful. And Huckerby even had the stupidest haircut I've seen for a while...
My man of the match was Iwan Roberts and not just because of the winning goal, he never gave up and proved that he's still good enough for a top Division One side.
