i liked the getaway cos my old flat was on it. i never played tom clancey cos he is a right wing nutjob with a scary tank fixation. my mate told me that you can kill arab civilians in his games but not western ones. hmmmm
toejam and earl was officially the boo's favourite game ever (ok maybe road rash). final fantasy VII delayed finishing 'kingsize' for months. the closest we ever came to blows was during fifa footy games.
nothing has come yet that i like better than GTA3. i didnt like the one after cos they gave him a voice so i couldnt be me no more. i was some macho idiot with none of the sensitivity that i previously displayed when shooting policemen in the face.
the next one is out soon tho'. i'm saving up. oh yes.

Okay, I don't know those games, so I'm going to suggest something else.
In fact I don't even have PS2, but anyway...
*ahem*
Mafia
is fucking brilliant. Oh yes. It's a bit like GTA 3 but 104,324 times better. And I like GTA 3, by the way. I found GTA 3 a bit boring after I had played it for a couple of hours, but Mafia got me hooked for days. I thought that would never happen to me, but I was wrong. Playing Mafia is like watching a really good movie. The game is probably not as fast as GTA 3, but I think it's a good thing actually. There's more interaction between different characters, but it's still not an adventure game or anything. Oh, and the shooting sequences are so much better, they're very good. I hated most of the gunfights in GTA 3. The story is very interesting too... There are not many bad things I could say about this game, well, maybe there was a bit too much pointless driving around the city sometimes. Anyway, this game is absolutely brilliant, I tell you! I could send some screenshots for you but they're all massive and I don't like massive pictures.
Also,
Pro Evolution Soccer 3
is great. My favourite football game ever, up there with good old Sensible World of Soccer! This is probably not possible on PS2, but I have PES3 on my PC so that I could get all the patches and stuff with real teams and players and everything... I haven't played any of the FIFA games since 2002, so I don't know what the newest ones are like, but if there's something that's better than PES3, I'll be surprised.
Well, they are the only games I've played this year. But I've really enjoyed both of them.
When's the new GTA game coming out then, Martin? _________________

Oh, and you get to play a guy called Tommy in Mafia. Maybe that's the only reason why I liked it!
Tommy the taxi driver
Tommy being a bad boy
"Oops, I think I killed him!"

I loved
The Getaway
. That game had my brother and myself spouting off catchphrases like "Is that 'ammond?" and "That's 'ammond, that is!" for weeks! Sequel should be out for Christmas too which should be ace.
Splinter Cell
... Hmm... I preferred the first one rather than
Pandora Tomorrow
. As far as stealth games go
Splinter Cell
is still the best in my opinion.
Grand Theft Auto 3
and
Mafia
were both fantastic! It's not often a game really makes me play right through to the end anymore but those two did. Oh, and
The Simpsons: Hit And Run
which is a similar style of game.
At the moment
Burnout 3
is taking up every spare minute I have. I can't get enough of it!
Melz.
P.S.
Final Fantasy VII
is the still the best ever! |

The leading character in
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
was a Tommy too. Coincidence? |

| Pro Evolution 3 is not only the best game ever its also the best thing ever. Even better than the wheel. I can't wait for the new one to come out. I also used to like the Championship Manager games but they're too detailed these days, it takes far too long to actually get to playing the games as you have to select what temperature you want the club's kit washing on and where you want the desk positioned in your room. |

i loved mafia too. it was the only game i've evr played where i actually followed the story which made the ending even better (won't spoil it here). only thing is i'm a bit of a speed freak and car chases at thirty miles an hour don't really do it for me. great, great game tho'. never played it on ps2, i bought the pc version. the scenery is truly beautiful (roll on the game where you can go in all the buildings) and the music (django reinhart) is class on a stick. a sequel you say? ohboyohboyohboyetc
worse game i ever played 'republic' they built it up to be something that it was never gonna be. i was so excited about this game where you were completely independant of anything remotely approaching structure and could go in all the buildings and achieve all yr objectives whenever you wanted, or not at all. three years i read about it. it was fucking crap.
now, 'evil genius'. is that out yet? i want one.

I would urge everyone to go out and buy "The Italian Job" on PSOne. A totally awsome game. Cos I designed it
Got Burnout 3 on Saturday and it's sucking my life away. Must remember to eat.
Best game ever is Goldeneye. _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,
