they had another good track called "finest worksong", i can't remember what album that was on, but i'm starting to think they had a bunch of good records back then. |
finest worksong is on document, which also has the one i love, it's the end of the world... and some other great songs which weren't singles.

| i also saw them at the bbc in about 1997. it was for the filming of an rem special of the jools holland show. we were just a few yards (still haven't worked out how metric works) from them and they seemed like the nicest guys.. |
lucky bastard! i mean that in the nicest possible way, of course.

don't see why there shouldn't be. they've had some great songs, and they're commercial enough that everyone will have heard at least something they've done. |

that's fair comment.
i did listen to "e-bow" just now by the way which was great (it's the delivery that does it), and now i have "life's rich pageant" on which will be the last album i listen to today and will keep me in good spirits as i touch up the paintwork on my skirkting boards!
i also found i have a copy of "document" (right next to utah saints on my old albums shelf but let's not go there!), and "at my most beautiful" which i also remember liking. i like nice songs.
ps if anyone wants to get a new order thread going some time i would be well up for joining in that... |
