Some anoraky, technical questions:
What software do you use for performing/ recording?
How about samples? Do you make your own or use "proprietary" ones?
Are you recording everything digitally to hard drives or just your loops?
Same goes for mixing. Is it through a PC ( and if so what do you use?) or does it all end up going through a desk and to tape?
Are you recording more "at home" now or still going "into the studio"?
All the best in 2004. _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |

there is a french guy call Smokeyolive on this topic(writing in blue),you must be careful about what he says!this guy sells drugs, legal drugs but drugs anyway. The last time I saw him,he was drinking vodka on vodka, his children at home and his wife at work, respectable?I don't think so.And the worst of all:he's got gallagher's posters on his wall!!!!!!
Of course I'm jokin' this guy is my friend and he's the biggest Boo's fan I've ever seen. For the 10th anniversary of Giant Steps,he made 4 compilation cd with lots of Boo tracks and he send them to his friends, sooooo nice!
well Martin,if you have 5 minutes, try to answer him in person,I think you can make someone happy! |

Happy New Year everybody. Here are my questions...
1. How was your New Year's Eve?
2. Do you still make videos for any of your music? If not, why not? Do you like music videos? What are your all-time faves?
3. Musically (ie both with BC and in terms of other people's music) - what excites you most about 2004?
4. Which band would you like to see reform in 2004? Which band would you like to see split in 2004?

any producers you'd like to work with?
any musicians/singers you'd really like to have on your newest work? don't suppose you could tempt Sice out of retirement just for 5 minutes to duet with you??
who'd be on your version of 'Reloaded' if you could choose?
I saw a load of work by the artist who did the Innuit for AFM, at the Spitalfields market a few weeks back, made me wonder about the artwork for your next album (er and please choose different colours for the text as i go blind trying to read grey on blue on the back of AFM!) |

1. if you were a crayon, what colour would you want to be?
ok, I'm joking.
1. Gerard Houllier - should he stay or should he go?
and do you ever go to Anfield?
2. don't mean to be nosey, but do you get any money from your old Boo Radleys releases now? I want to give loads of people b-sides compilations, but I'd hate to do you out of money
3. do you have much control over that stuff? I mean, if you wanted to release or re-release anything? I'd like to see more Boos videos sometime - I've only ever seen Ride The Tiger and Wake Up Boo! don't suppose there'll ever be a compilation?
4. got a name for the next Bravecaptain LP yet?
5. I never got to see the Boos live, nor have I seen Bravecaptain, and it's not looking like I'll get the chance, so can you tell me where I put the video tape with you and the rest doing Ride The Tiger on the Late Late Show (in Ireland) in about '96?
I'll die happy if I find that.
6. can I send you a late birthday present... sometime next February or March (probably), and where would I send it to?
7. Republican governments in the U.S. provoke good art, according to Marilyn Manson, a few years back. any thoughts on that comment now, all things considered?! Like, would you swap what we have (or, don't have) now for a peaceful but artless world? Oh no, here come Ocean Colour Scene with that song about profit...

Please answer these two questions.
1. What made you want to do one of these again? I'd be far too lazy to answer all these questions. Did someone make you do it?
2. Did you read Bootleg Betsy? What did you think of it? Sorry about all the speling mistakes but we can't afford proper keyboards. Proof-reading is also a boring waste of time. Your interview could have been presented in a much better way, sorry. It's still funny though.
There are more than two questions here. Did you notice this?
Thanks for your time again
Betsy's friend. x |

| firther to my previous post...scrap the 'reloaded' question, that's rubbish, but is there a track or two you'd like to cover - maybe something a bit off the wall that you'd sing in the bath? |

If I'm not too late...
1. You said a while ago you might have to get a job. Did you, and if so what is it and how's it going?
2. Why was I want a rainbow nation given a proper release, as it's great?
3. Who do you want as next LFC manager after we lose to Yeovil on Sunday? (I'm in a positive frame of mind today )
4. Why are you spelling Shankly with an "e"?
Thanks,
Dave. |

Hi Martin. In the shower about a fortnight ago i thought of a couple of questions that i would really like to ask you but have forgotten them (as per usual) so please answer these instead.?
1) If you had released kingsize as a single (off kingsize) and it had been a top 10 hit would you have split the band at the time you did?
2) You won't allow wake up boo to be used on adverts (as i understand) however the commercial entities concerned will just use another song anyway (and probably a crap one that wont enable me to nudge the mrs on the couch and go "boo radleys!") so why not say yes and have more money? or, alternatively donate the revenue to a cause you believe in.
3) Hindsight is a wonderful thing. What you have done differntly with the boos (commercially) if you could go back. (you are not allowed to say nothing, its a sort of special rule i am putting in this question!)
Many Thanks for making my life better than it would have been without you. HAPPY NEW YEAR! |

| Hope I am not too late captain sir but have only just come round from the ex-servicemans club Boxing Day booze up! Is there any chance of you playing a date in Rhyl this year? (if not Prestatyn or Colwyn Bay will do at a push) Cheers Ken. |

In an interview a few years ago you said you wanted to expand the subject matter in your songs, as you usually sang about 3 only. Do you think you've succeeded?

*deep into injury time*
Sice really sings "all that I want is to find some piece of ass" at the end of Ride The Tiger,
doesn't he? |
