Sadly I have never ventured outside of europe.... yet. BUT Helsinki is my favourite place. And i'm sure you'll enjoy it. Really nice, friendly n chilled city. Really cool too. The modern art gallery is one of the best and there are some lovely little bars as well. Don't recall finding a great record shop in the also nice Tampere (if only Tommy Boo n this website had been up when I went!) but there was an ace one in Helsinki. Can't remember its name but it was on a nice pedestranised and bar lined street. Really good staff who let me play tons of tunes before deciding on what I was gonna buy (which was some ace very stark Finnish techno and, er, 22Pistapercho or however its spelt). Its the coolest n cheapest city in Scandanavia and I still hope that one day i'll manage to get my work to post me out there......  |
