And so finally I am back on the internet. the parents have dsl, the girlfriend has cable, so my nomadic self is back in business, relatively speaking.
Hope you are all doing well, I've missed reading and posting here sorely.

the news is that I got my very own copy of I Am a Lion, have been reading ravenously, and am living off a diet of toasted bread, peanut butter, and multi-vitamins.

and i can't resist plugging what I've been listening to:
Faust - so far
jonny greenwood - "Bodysong" soundtrack
Dave Douglas - Strange Liberation (w/Bill Frisell)

and reading:
Martha Mccaughey, et al - Cyberactivism
Noam Chomsky - Powers and Prospects
Mark Zepezauer - Boomerang!

glad to be back and so forth and so on.

Noam Chomsky is doing a lecture thing in Liverpool next month, I've never read any of his books, is it just Michael Moore but without the jokes?

professor chomsky has a very large brain. which he uses to great effect. no jokes, but he can actually be very funny sometimes, heavily sarcastic.
you should definitely try to get tickets, its a good time. he sold out at the middle east club here a couple weeks ago, of all places.

have a look at the Z magazine site to get a better idea:
http://zmag.org/chomskyarchive.htm for articles and audio
http://blog.zmag.org/ttt/ for his new blog.

I've booked my tickets.

I went to see Michael Moore last year, some of the things he said were interesting but there was lots of crap stuff about the evils of supermarket loyalty cards.
