...."Guided by Voices", "Orbital", "Wu Tang Clan", my friend and his fiance.
I used to love The Wu Tang Clan. "Enter The 36 Chambers" was brilliant and "Liquid Swords" by GZA is my favourite hip hop album. However "Wu Tang Forever" was so long and bloated that it makes "Be Here Now" look concise and snappy and the past two albums have been patchy at best. Hopefully they'll go out with a bang with their final album. |

I was absolutely gutted when the Boo Radleys broke up, I only found about by reading a small piece in the news bit of NME. It was the same week that I split up with my girlfriend and Howard Wilkinson was put in charge of the England team. All in all not a great week. |

Along with 'Tricks of The Shade' by Goats and 'It Takes a Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back' by Public Enemy I'd say that was a good shout John. I love the first Dead Prez album but it's not really consistent enough, same with 'Mathew' by Kool Keith which has some fucking great stuff on. He's done a track on the next Prodigy album called 'Wake Up'. Cool. x |

I have very happy memories of sitting around a camp fire stoned to high heaven reciting lyrics from Wu Tang Forever
"it's just.... I think you should be punished........ I'm going to chop off your arms, are you ready?!"
One of the best weekends of my life that

there was a uniformly high standard to the raft of solo albums that followed '36 chambers'. raekwon's 'only built 4 cuban linx' and 'tical' by method man were ace as well.

It always has to happen....
All the best bands/ groups split. Call it natural progression, natural selection or whatever you like. I used to compare it to a favourite footie team. The club lives forever but the team constantly changes. Now I release that bands are designed to exist for a short space of time. And that magical period only occurs for a short while. The greatest bands release a clutch of beautiful tunes and depart to leave us wanting more. It's always better this way
Things progress, times change, friends grow apart
Footie or music savour the memories, the music, the goals, the good times, wear the faded t-shirt with pride
Nothing ever lasts forever
PS I have to take issue with Setareh... she can't have seen the cutest kid on the train today. My little boy boy was at school in Devon, not rattling along the rails somewhere in Sweden. |

ahhh Bob, it had to end somewhere. You will always be the beer soaked king of my world with your dreams of planes and rickety flights of surreal whimsy. Long live GBV! |

Yay! Cute kids! Produce the picture and I'll see if you're right or not. L&P _________________ Man is the only animal clever enough to build The Empire State Building and stupid enough to jump from it. |
