I hate tattoos. The thing that annoys me about thems the most is the fact that everyone seems to have the same crappy japanese or chinese writing or thorney design WHY? WHY? WHY?.
Also I see lots of young girls with exceptionally similar tattoos across the lower back totally ruining nice young flesh with a stupid indian ink mark is ridiculous. God I sound old.
As for beards I am growing one as I tore my cruciate ligament playing football Sunday so can't work and am feeling pretty depressed and nihilistic. Should be half way to full beard in July.
Luckily Dave W sent me the Boo sides CD's so will listen to those. BOO UP! to Dave. _________________ "we wanted to make a sound like penguins going to the post office to collect their pension money" |

When I read the subject line it was like someone had created this thread for me!
I think beards are insanely cool. Mind you, wimpy things like goatees do not count, only a full proper beard is cool.
As for tattoos, I don't categorically like them but a good one is definitely worth it.
I'll be happy to tell you grandpa firesky that mine is on quite an unusual place and the 'motiff' is unusual too!

Mind you when I was younger i did think about having one. i have re read my comments and I sound like a bit of a nutter! Its cos me knee hurts and the glorious footballing career of mr firesky has now drawn to a close.
Sunday lower leagues will never be the same again...
On the plus side I have just taken my cocktail of co-codamol and other drugs and "finally an ok calm has fallen over me...." xx _________________ "we wanted to make a sound like penguins going to the post office to collect their pension money" |

I have always wanted a tattoo. Well, at least since the age of 16.
However in twelve years I've not found one that I liked enough.
All suggestions welcome!

I have posted it on here before but here you go...
That was when it was just done, it's not swollen or red anymore. It's on the inside of the upper left arm.

i reckon the right tattoo will come to you... like that wrinkled naked indian dude came to jim morrison and whatnot. i woke up one morning and thought "right... that's what i want." and drove myself to the first tattoo parlour i found open on a saturday morning.
and beards are very sassy... especially when they get to that soft-n-fuzzy stage... however the zz top stage should be avoided.

Yeah, ZZ Top not too great, though funny.
I think best beards are when they are maybe a few weeks old, they're not so good to touch once they lose their rough feel.
I also think people who are darker...like myself...shouldn't have beards, it looks too aggressive (oh yeah, I realize that I can't actually grow a beard even if I'd like).

No tattoos here, but I am in full beard and have been since about 1996 I think.
Never figured out why I grew it! _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |

I usually grow a beard once every six months or so just cos I don't like shaving and am lazy. Plus I save thousands of pounds by not having to buy stupidly overpriced razor blades. However it makes me look a fifty year old tramp and I'm not sure thats a good look.
And I can't think what I'd want a tattoo of, which rapper has a tattoo of a barcode? Is it Eminem?
Mr Firesky - how long will it be before you can run around again? Tearing you cruciate ligament sounds very painful indeed. |

It was horrible, I screamed like a girl and then passed out. I have to go back into hospital tomorrow for another assessment.
I have to drive for a living so I cant work which is very frustrating.
The moral of this story is don't play parks footballl when you are an old git. I might have this tattoo'd on my bum! _________________ "we wanted to make a sound like penguins going to the post office to collect their pension money" |
