Haven't listened to this for ages, I had forgotten how good it actually is. There's something wrong with my CD though, it doesn't seem to play properly anymore. Confused Or maybe it's my CD player...

Are there any differences between the original release and the re-release?

Try ripping it with EAC

http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

Unless it's extremely badly scratched, this program will be able to copy the WAV files and you can then burn yourself a decent backup copy. EAC will even burn it, although it doesn't work with all CD writers, especially if they are BURNproof.
