I am very very angry, tried to get U2 tickets (yes I'm opening myself up for abuse I know and people saying Bono and co are just after our cash and horrible evil people), for me and my Mum, for the past three days after paying 23 quid for that presale thing they 'organised'. Absolute shit, ticketmaster are fucking useless, and after numerous cock ups, have the cheek to charge £7.50 per ticket service charge. I think I'll forget these type of big your things now and settle for bands with a limited fanbase.

ticketbastard are utter, utter shite. i try never to deal with them if i can avoid it. my mate used to work for them and you wouldn't believe the things she told me they did to screw their employees and their customers...

how much did you end up paying per ticket? might have been better off just buying a ticket to glastonbury this year (as they're rumoured to be the big headliner)...

*hopes there's something good on the other stage at that time*

Just read in NME that they've turned down Glasto.

Every excuse they gave seemed to be based on power and profit, despite the fact that their tour has sold out and made them a few hundred million.

*shakes head in apathy and carries on*

Here's hopin New Order do it instead.

Foolish I know, but four tickets with service charge, and postage cost 314.95. Charming.
I was holding out for them to do Glastonbury, however, I heard a couple of months back that they couldn't because of the tour. And since then, it looks like they are to play Dublin the whole weekend. Personally, I reckon headlinders this year are likely to be Outkast, Faithless and possibly New Order as they have a new album out soon.
I know the tickets for U2 were alot, but then again I paid 90 quid to see Madonna last year cause I love her to bits. A mug I may be, but then again ticket prices for stuff is far too much nowadays anyway, for example a few years back I went to see The Verve at Wolverhampton Civic Hall for £8.50 (inabout 98 I think), then I went to see Ashcroft at the Southampton Guildhall on his last solo tour and it was £19 quid! I think it seems a lot but, really when you think about it its just as much now as it was then, just relative prices really. I mean I get excited now if I see any gig of a band I want to see under a tenner! I remeber paying pittance to see the SFA, and Oasis about ten years ago.
Mind you it still is a travesty that these people get away with it, but, I suppose there are too many doughnuts like me around(if it's any excuse I'm taking my Mum as she actually(honest) finds Bono attractive and swoons over him far too much, and it's her 50th soon so it has to be done.
Damn this inflation!

Well, I have to say the best £13.00 I spent was seeing The Proclaimers, better than I Am Kloot, U2, and Madonna all together playing for a week and then having a big orgy wearing eyes wide shut gear. So there.

THat's shit-loads - I bought 4 REM tickets and that was £200 all in... Still a lot I thought at the time, but obviously not!

Has anyone heard of The Secret Numbers - they are supporting Doves and have no idea who they are...

People, cover bands are the answer! TBH I did fancy catching U2 but £60 a pop to stare at the big screen is not my idea of value. Get down your local, spend a tenner on ale and make a fool of yourself dancing to Elevation, Sticky Fingers or whatever floats your boat Very Happy
