Here's something that I found today, Elliott Smith fans should find this quite interesting. I haven't listened to all songs yet, but at least "Fond Farewell" and "Memory Lane" were pretty good.

After 3 incredible albums on the trot (Either/Or, XO, Figure Cool, did anyone else find the last Elliott Smith album to be a bit.... well, crap?

I haven't heard all of it yet actually, but what I have heard has been pretty good. 'Fond Farewell' is my favourite on the album so far. 'Memory Lane' is very cool but sounds a bit unfinished... well, perhaps Elliott hadn't finished his work yet. I just listened to some demo versions of Figure 8 era songs, and I think they sound pretty much like the new album.

Anyway, I didn't like the previous three albums that much on the first listen either, but now I love them all.
