Can someone please explain to me the purpose of fucking edits of singles? (following on from some point this week which I can't be bothered to find).
Secret for a song by Mercury rev (fucking lovely) has a "radio edit". THE BLOODY ALBUM VERSION IS ONLY 3.55 LONG!
How can you edit Kingsize without diminishing fom its beauty?
Some songs are gorgeous at 1.5 minutes (Lazy Day) Some songs are fantastic at 10 minutes (....erm)
Look at Ride the Tiger. I rest my case.
Anyway. Who wants to discuss this right now because i found an 8 pack in the larder and am on can 6? _________________ "we wanted to make a sound like penguins going to the post office to collect their pension money" |

didn't george martin tell mccartney that hey jude was too long but he told him to fuck off? I remember when i first moved over here oasis had champagne supernova as an american single and they edited that down to a few minutes. it sounded shite and may be a good reason for it not doing so well. Paranoid Android was not edited and that was a long bastard and did very well. editing of songs for singles is shit. _________________ Martin O'Neill's Claret And Blue Army |
