it's very quiet on here today.

the new single sounds ace. can't wait for the album.

it seems like the singles are less electronica type of thing than awobmolg. is this an indication of where the next album is going or will that be different?

I'm still downloading the single, so I can't comment on the music yet. This I will say: If one sends Martin a picture of oneself in the sunshgine, and Martin has a new single coming out on one's birthday, he is just the kind of guy to use said photo as a cover. What a nice surprise! Best birthday prezzie I got this year. I'm not British, but between this and opening up for Robyn Hitchcock tomorrow, I think the medical term for my current condition is "chuffed".

I played with him a few months ago as well and he was just killer. He does these long trippy steram of conscious song intros that make me feel lightheaded. Supposedly the shows he's doing now are very request driven.

Not only do I get to play with Robyn tonight, I'm opening for Glen Tilbrook of Squeeze in two weeks. It's a good month, you know?

Anybody know why when I downloaded the single, I ended up with a php text file that I can't play? Besides my ineptitude, any technical answers?

I had same kind of a problem actually... it automatically tries to save them as download.php.mp3 (if I remember correctly), so I just had to rename it... try that, it might work.

Another nice tune.

you need to right-click and choose save target as... to download - I just tested it and it worked fine - any ongoing problem please let me know.

Just tried it again, and it does work on IE indeed. Not on Mozilla though, dunno why... Confused

Well, I'm on a mac, so I hit control and saved target to desktop - and that's when i got the text file, so I paid for it again and saved it to iTunes and renamed it Brave Captain March and it still came out as a php file (don't know what that is). Maybe I need to do it again and save as something with MP3 at the end?

reading this thread made me burn me good morning pancakes.

what's the point of computers? i would think they would be designed in such a way that if there was a file that was an mp3, and it had .mp3 on the end, and somebody downloaded it, the computer would think "that will most likely be an mp3 then".

melz can you confirm what browser you're using and if you're on mac and pc?

okay, the deal is that if you are using firefox you just do a normal click instead of a right-click, and then choose "save to disk".

if you right-click to download though it isn't a problem, it just gives the file the wrong name, you've still got the mp3 - just rename it march.mp3

also melz, if you saw mpeg that's probably right, the full name for mp3 is mpeg level 3.

okay, back to the pancakes...
