I've seen this for a fiver. Is it worth it? or did they only find their feet with Summerteeth?

cheers

it's worth a fiver. i'd say there's been an improvement in quality in all their albums, with the possible exception of a ghost is born, which may not be better than yhf.

there are definitely good songs on being there. misunderstood is my favourite at the moment. i'd steer clear of a.m. if you haven't got that. a bit too country.

can anyone say whether it's worth trying to get anything by uncle tupelo, jeff tweedy's previous band?

I picked it up yesterday afternoon thinking there must be at least a few good tunes from a double-albums worth of material.

It's worth the fiver alone just for Misunderstood.

i'm going to see them this weekend at lollapalooza which i am really looking forward to. I have seen them once and it was one of the best i'd ever seen. Gnarles Barkley, Flaming Lips, Kanye West, the shins, broken social scene and Eels will also be there plus many more. I'm a bit disapointed Hard-fi appear to have pulled out but representing the uk are the subways, editors, lady Sovereign, hot chip and go! team.

yes wilco were ace. They played a few new songs which sounded more summerteeth and YHF that were cool. Jeff Tweedy has got a bit fat and grown a beard. I think them and eels were my favourite performers of the festival. The red hot chili peppers were the worst i saw and i left early because they were shit.

Jeff Tweedy has a great voice. I'm also getting a bit fat and growing a beard so I like him even more.

yes, everything. they were boo's favourites in the nineties.
best song - 'postcard' from 'still feel gone'.

i saw 'em at the mean fiddler in harlesden in '92. one of the greatest gigs i ever did see.
