complete with 'bravecaptain' written incorrectly and 'Find The Answer Within' with its title cut short...

Oh, and '8 out of 10' when it was obviously meant to be '11 out of 10' Rolling Eyes

How on earth did you get that screenshot, thats amazing, can you get teletext on a computer. I always used to think the internet was just glorified teletext. I wonder who writes teletext, is it a voluntary thing, cause if they get paid by the word they must be hungry.
I've not listened to Wake up Boo in ages, its probably time to give it a run round the player, I always loved the way it ends so abruptly.

it tells me a lot about myself that i looked at that and thought 'ooh, nice screen grab'. in the same way last night during the most visually spectacular thunderstorm in years i thought 'ooh, a bit of rain will be good for the garden'.

when did i start saying 'ooh'? <sighs>

I don't know, some TV channels may have it, but it's not how I got it.

it wasn't so nice until I cleaned it up and cleared out the gobbledegook and fixed some of the half-visible numbers Wink

Rolling Eyes

And how come that Earls guy can make sure to put a full stop in the name of an act who have a needless fullstop at the end of their name, for example, yet always has things wrong when talking about the Boo Radleys or bravecaptain? (e.g. wrong release dates, wrong info about where Sice recently made a return to the mic, etc)

I wonder if he still screens all his mates' letters on The Void...

It got 3/5 in Q - "...they were no competition for Oasis, but with the likes of It's Lulu and C'mon Kids, this Liverpool quartet provided more than just a one-off blast of impossibly cheery anthemic rock". Meanwhile on the next page the greatest hits of the Busted of the 90's, The Offspring, gets 4/5.

From the Times:

Boo Radleys

Find the Way Out (Sanctuary)

Too out there and too heartfelt to cash in on the Britpop boom, the Boo Radleys made some wonderful, unique music. Albums such as Giant Steps (1993) displayed more ambition than most of their contemporaries, and it is this fearless venturing that makes the first disc of this career retrospective such riveting stuff.

Not that Martin Carr’s natural pop sensibility would be denied — Barney (. . . And Me) is the band’s loveliest moment, its vulnerability swallowed whole by 1970s sunshine choruses. What follows, on disc two, is a suite of perfect pop, both inventive and addictive. The Boo Radleys never received the commercial reward that their sublime pop deserved, but this fine compilation proves that bitterness never soured their songcraft.

4/5
