The new Stars Wars film is ace, I thought the first two new films weren't much good but this one is great.
And also I bought Championship Manager 5 for the PS 2 and its crap. The matches go on forever and because of the transfer window, you hardly ever get to buy or sell anyone. |

Yeah, I've heard the same about the new Star Wars as well, can't wait to see it now. The Episodes 1 and 2 weren't really that horrible either actually, I saw them again not very long ago, and I noticed that if you don't
try
to find some annoying things about it all the time, you can actually enjoy watching them.
You should have bought Football Manager 2005 instead of CM 5 if you've played the old Championship Manager games. FM2005 is the
real
successor of the series, the new CM has nothing to do with the old games.

i thought it was bloody great -- in fact, i'd rank it as my third favourite star wars film (behind "a new hope" and "empire strikes back")...
and how good were the battle scenes!? HOT DAMN!!!
now here's where it gets
REALLY
nerdy... i've spent nearly 28 years looking forward to the next star wars film. now that's over and it makes me feel a bit sad (as in upset, not as in dorky).

you know what, after the end of episode 3 i was thinking the same thing but didn't want to say anything because it would reveal to the world what a sad sham of a life I lead. I reckon he'll make episodes 7,8 and 9 now though - the wars will be over so Han Solo, Chewbacca and Leia can settle down to domesticated bliss- with hilarious concequences. It will be a zany comedy rather than a sci fi adventure.
Tommy - I don't think you can get that Football Manager game for the PS2 can you? I took CM5 back and got a Total Club Manager 2004 instead. Its a bit better but still not amazing. The best football management game ever was Football Director for the Spectrum, the level of difficulty was just right and all you had to do was buy and sell player and not worry about dull stuff like training them and doing press conferences. All that on a 48K machine, these days one of the smileys on this board takes up more memory than that. |

It is awesome, General Grievious rocks, Palpatine is about as evil as its possible to be, and the descent of Darth is really disturbing to watch the climax is so well done. I thought Ewan McGregor who I generally dislike, really came into his own and Obi Wan rules. Second best in the whole series I'd say. |

I saw it yesterday and I loved it, I'm going back for another session tomorrow.
I have also been looking forward to these films for a very long time, I guess the reason why I am feeling a little sad over this last film is because a chapter of my childhood has finally been closed.
Time to move on I guess!!
Charlie & the Chocolate factory out soon, time to relive my youth again but 2005 style, whatever that means.
I don't have a PS2 so I can't comment. Although it would be nice to find the time to play one. |
