strange... i was taking a shower yesterday and i started thinking about tomatoe day when i was washing my hair, and i didn't even know that the tomatoe day is today.
so, what are we supposed to celebrate on this great day?
some ancient god of tomatoes, an anniversary of the grand tomatoe invasion in europe, or just tomatoes in general?
please enlighten me, oh setareh juventina.

That's definitely a way to celebrate!
And Tomi, tomatoes in general...such a versatile fruit/vegetable...such a great wonder.

For all the friends of Dan Quail amongst us...
Tomato is spelt without an e unless it's plural. Much like potato.
Here endeth the Lesson

yeah, but it looks funnier when it's spelt with an e.

Both are correct but I don't know which in which type of English (American vs British).

now you've got me confused. ........and it's ALL YOUR FAULT!!!...or is it? ........anyway, i thought
tomato
only had an "e" if it were describing more than one tomato, such as
"i went to the grocery store to get some tomatoe's."

That's right! It's only spelt with an e in the singular if it's spelt wrong!
