Yes, its always a let down, yes it always takes 2 hours to get served at the bar but I assume that we've all got big plans for the last day of 2005.
Obviously you'll all be watching the Liverpool vs West Brom game on telly at 3pm but what are you all up to after that? |

working until 3am New Year's morning [DJ'ing in Chester at a horror-themed New Year's Eve party with Zombina and the Skeletones], then doing a radio show that night until 1am.
I'd better be getting the 2nd. of January off!
Incidentally, bc - Mr Phormula has done a mix for the New Year's Day show, thanks to your 'tip off'. _________________ The Musical Mystery Tour,

Last year me and boyfriend were celebrating about 100 meters away from eachother, it felt strange...but we weren't a couple at the time. So we decided next year we're together for New Year's. So we will be...but it's not really decided what will happen.

I'm driving a Camper Van to the Beach at Newquay. Then i shall proceed to get absolutely twatted before sleeping with the sound of crashing surf all around me.
I hope it will be as good as it sounds in my head xxx _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

We can't have pool parties. It's cold.
Krissie, I suggest you try a sober new year...sobriety is much nicer.

I am going to be on a boat, floating along the Thames.
Unfortunately though ti finishes at 1am, which a bit early, but too late to get to another party that finishes at 4 (as it'll take hours to get anywhere in London at 1am!)
Last year my friends and I hired a cottage for a week in Norfolk, and it was such a nice week!

DJ-ing, Camper Vans, Pool Parties, Boats, Sobriety - you're all doing quite varied and interesting stuff, I'm going to a football match and then going to a pub which is obviously radically different what I usually do at the weekend.
Hiring out a cottage for new year is a great thing to do, we went up to the Lake District a couple of years ago and it was brilliant: food, beer, roaring log fires and drunk people getting ultra competitive about board games, everything you could possibly want from a quality new year. |

It takes more courage to look life straight in the face, completely awake...or simply put, handle things without alcohol/drugs/nicotine/etc.

I've never gone in for New Year really.
I don't see at as something to celebrate really, another year gone and more of the same to come.....
I tend to do what Kinkster does though but I gave up with the cowds at the Bars about 12 years ago!
I have a camper van on my drive but it has no front wheels or seats, so that puts the tin hat on that a bit. What you got Kinkster?
Will probably go round to my brother's and invest in a barrel of something and no doubt end up ..... er.....
Twatted!

I don't have one mate. It's getting borrowed off my missus parents
It's some kind of luxury thing that costs as much as my house.
After all the talk of selling the house and stuff in the middle of this year, it now looks like I'm going to go in the opposite direction! I reckon I'm going to get one of those converted Transit vans and tour europe over the next few summers....
Remortgaging your house to get a camper van is a
great
idea!

TTLC... if you get tickets for both the NYE game and the cup match the following week you get all sorts of discount if you use your PAFC membership card.
However 2 defeats in a week and a double trip through the tunnel of death...stick to the gin palace mate.
Should this be on the Football thread, board invigilators? |
