So you all knew that the author of "To Kill A Mockingbird" was a woman did you? Why did nobody tell me? |

I remembered that but I didn't remember that the author was a woman. I wrote essays about that book and did exams on it at school and now I can't even remember who the author was.
Only found out today reading this article about the favourite books of men and women where it says:
And what of female authors? Six male authors made it into the women's top 20. Only one woman has made it on to the men's: Harper Lee (To Kill A Mockingbird). Is it churlish of us to suspect that some men did not realise that Harper was a woman?
I don't reckon its churlish at all.
