Saw it for the first time last night, as ever I'm a year behind the rest of the world. Thought it was ace, all style, no substance when something is that stylish I don't care. Substance is overrated.

I thought it was awful...completely lacking any decent story line, quite sexist...all women were whores or the like and all men 'masculine' and with deep voice (almost like a parody).

It felt like violence for the sake of it and afterwards I asked myself what on earth was the point...what did the film maker try to say?

Yes, it does look good, but that felt a little unimportant to me.

I thought it was a bit of fun... and Jessica Alba should have got an Oscar for her performance

I loved it - I agree it was lacking plot, but that wasn't really the point of the film. The cinematography was amazing, and I loved the comic book CGI/live action mix, it was really absorbing, really carried you along with it, as if you were actually watching a comic (sorry... graphic novel Wink
