I thought that nothing could amaze me these days but last night I saw The Lips live for the first time.

where was that? i saw them at birmingham academy, which is quite a small venue, earlier in the year and they were brilliant. going to see them at the nia on thursday, which is a horrible, huge arena, and i'm concerned that it won't be as good.
at the academy gig they made it seem so intimate and inclusive and positive. if they can do that for an arena gig, it will be some going. i hope they can! |

I saw them at the airport hangar like Brighton Centre and they made it feel intimate and wonderful and life affirming etc.
A girl had an epileptic fit and the band stopped the whole show while she was attended to and taken out of the venue.
Its more than just a gig its like a party and a show all wrapped up. Trying to get ticks for London next week. _________________ we spent a lot of time trying to make our guitars sound like trumpets...then someone told us we could actually use real trumpets |
