Look at the great music that has come out in the last 3 weeks and is to be imminently released

The Good The Bad and The Queen (this is awesomely beautiful)

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah- Some Loud Thunder (melancholy brilliance)

Menomena- Friend and Foe (Such a discovery)

The Shins- Wincing the night away (A lot better than certain reviews are crediting it to be)

Deerhoof- Friend Opportunity (Exciting and adventurous music)

Of Montreal-Hissing Fauna, Are you the destroyer (Hook filled dark electro pop)

The imminent albums from Bloc Party and Arcade Fire will have a lot to live up to!!

Heard it's meant to be a bit different to their debut, is that right?

I saw Bloc Party last night, haven't been much of a fan in the past but they were big and loud last night, in a good way. The slow, broody songs weren't as good as the fast choppy ones but overall they get a big Johnny M thumbs up.

There seem to be loads of new bands and tunes around at the moment, the only songs I've heard in the top 20 this week are that Take That one and that Pink Floyd. I like the new 'anything goes' chart rules. It's odd how bands go from being tipped in magazines to being number one in a matter of nanoseconds these days. Are The Kids today hipper than back in the day?
