My friend is getting married and at the reception instead of paying for a fancy DJ he's getting the guests up behind the wheels of steel instead. I've gonna have half an hour to get the guests up on their feet, partying like its 1999. I need some suggestions for guaranteed floor fillers and I need them now! Or fairly soon anyway.

In other news:

The Lucky Soul album is lovely.

Jose Mourinho amuses me.

I'm off to the Isle of Mann.

That is all.

Lucky Soul's album is out already? Shocked That's me off to HMV on Monday, then.

Floor fillers? Erm... anything Motown tends to make people happy and dancey. 'I Will Survive' seems a popular yet completely inappropriate choice.

I Put together a 4 hour set for my brother last year. They picked the tracks and I put them into some sort of order. Cracking it was too (if I say so meself!)

Anyhow, here's an excerpt:

Louis Vega - Mambo No 5
Prince - Raspberry Beret
Marcels - Blue Moon
Jackie Wilson - Reet Petite
Eddie Cochran - C'mon Everbody
Jacksons - Blame it on the boogie
Ottawan - DISCO
Boney M - Rivers Of Babylon
Bad Manners - My Girl Lollipop
Madness - Night Boat To Cairo
The Wurzels - I've Got A Brand New Combine Harvester (Got EVERYONE up dancing!)

Also, A nice Beatles combo:
I Want To Hold Your Hand
Hard Days Night
She Loves You

I followed that with Slade's C'mon Feel the noize.

Something to be getting on with.
Cool

Excellent suggestions one and all, thank you.

My initial playlist was as follows but I'll re-jig it:

Rappers Delight - Sugarhill Gang
Heaven Is A Place On Earth - Belinda Carlisle
Seven Nation Army - White Stripes
9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
Groove Is In The Heart - Deee-Lite
Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Twist and Shout - The Beatles
Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond

I'm supersonically nervous about the game tomorrow night.

I like the Franz Ferdinand version of the new LCD Soundsystem single, All My Friends. Just cos it's a different take on a type of music that I really like. I'd like to nominate that as Tune of the Day.

My mate Luke got married recently and I was very pleased to hear the DJ (their mate) play Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues by McClusky, now there's a song you don't often hear at a wedding...
