Went to the 02 festival in Leeds this weekend. Took my boy,was his first experience of live music. Hour after hour of utter dross ensued. One dimensional skinny fit jeans boy bands who all played the same song over and over again.

Until 6.55pm when The Twang took to the stage and blew us away. What a band.

I have tickets to see them in Sheffield in October (if the place isn't still under watter by then) but still need some convincing so far...

3 generations saw them. Me, my Dad and my boy and we ALL gave them 10/10 live. I love the album as well.

Bearing in mind my son at age 13 can be forgiven for such over enthusiasm but two miserable bastards like me and my dad? No chance.

We had only had 4 cans each as well (Son Fanta!)

they've been to bristol 3 time this year. saw the first 2 and loved 'em lots, at the louis it was fun all the way and a good change from some of the miserable (though admittedly enjoyable!) guitar bands that pass through. didn't see them at bierkeller in may but am told they weren't as good then... though the bierkeller is only rivalled by academy2 in its shiteness and i've only ever enjoyed the dead60s there (though they rock any place!). not got the album but love the 2 singles.

To be fair they seem to polarise opinion between those that think they are amazing and those that think they are utter crap. I think BC fans would love em.....!

I sold my tickets to see them because Underworld are playing the same night and, frankly, that's a no brainer! oOly listened to the album once so far and have to say, by song 2 I was loving it and by song 8 I was getting irritated by the sameness of it all...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Isn't it just a spoken word Hard Fi?

I've tried to like it, I really have, but I made the right decision with those Underworld tickets Wink
