How good does the Patrick Wolf stuff sound on there? Can't wait for that one!

There's still time for last minute investments! Surprised

Dear new owners of Manchester City football club,

if you're reading this, could you please forget Kaká and invest all that money in Martin's new album (and the next 3999 albums too) instead?

okay I should post this in the FOOTSTOCKS! thread, sorry

Actually there is no time. All monies will be refunded. I'm very grateful to those who invested. It was worth a try... x

It was certainly worth a try - and it's a real shame it hasn't worked on this occasion.

It is bollocks. Have any artists actually succeeded through that site yet?

Anyways, Sorry it's not happened. K x

I assume that (apart from time) Martin hasn't actually lost anything here? i.e. since it hasn't worked out on Bandstocks he is free to do what he wants with the album now, sign a deal etc.?

Man, just when I was sure I was 100% cynical, something like this comes along and lowers my opinion of people even more.

It is a pity it hasn't worked out, I guess it's just a bad time to be trying to raise money for anything apart from Jesus loving Brazilian midfielders. I think the bandstocks model can work though and hopefully it will in the future.

So I was thinking. Everyone that is about to get their money back, why not just send it straight on to Martin? He may not get to release an album with it, but I'm sure he could have a damn good time!

I think everyone should send their money to me and I will reinvest in the music industry and provide a much needed stimulus to the economy by buying lots of lovely albums for myself. I am selfless.

Spotify is a good thing I think:

Yeah it's good, although they haven't got any Boos songs that you can listen to Mad I still haven't figured out how new people can join Spotify, I was lucky enough to get an invite from a friend of mine, but even after 3+ months I still haven't got any invites that I can send to others.

It's open to everyone now isn't it?

http://thequietus.com/articles/01121-no-longer-any-need-for-invite-to-spotify

It might be different in each country though.
