I've just read the Mark E Smith book, tis good. He's grumpy but I like him. I've never heard a Fall album but I now feel the urge to.

Bought Luke Haines book and i'm enjoying. He gives Boo's a bit of a kicking...but then everyone get's a kicking.... it's enjoyable in a cynical miserable sort of way...

Ah. The Auteurs. I don't think I ever saw them. Mind you when Luke Haines got his hair cut, he looked like my old science teacher. Mr M C Jones. We then took it upon ourselves to call Luke Haines, M C Haines in a view to the similarities. Much amusement.

You had to be there.

Were The Auteurs any good? I can't really remember any of their stuff.

Did they sound like Suede?

I fucking hated Suede.

Not really, I think they just had the misfortune to emerge at the same time as Suede, and to have 'British' influences...

They were great.

There's a 3CD set "Luke Haines is Dead" that might be a good starting point...
