It's nice to read reviews of the new album, especially when the ones that I've read so far have been quite positive too. Here are a few that I found...

BBC Music:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/pwjw

Pitchfork:
http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/13265-ye-gods-and-little-fishes/

Russell's Reviews:
http://russellsmusicreviews.blogspot.com/2009/06/martin-carr-ye-gods-and-little-fishes.html

Ash-EQ:
http://asheq.co.uk/2009/06/22/martin-carr

Not really a review, but an interesting read anyway:
http://plugtwo.blogspot.com/2009/05/martin-carr-ye-gods-and-little-fishes.html

I'm sure there'll be more reviews next week, so post them here if you find any! Apparently there's a review in the Mojo magazine as well, but I haven't seen it yet.

Me too Bev, me too.

Here's an interesting interview from WalesOnline.co.uk:

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/showbiz-and-lifestyle/music-in-wales/2009/07/11/martin-carr-wakes-up-to-life-after-the-boo-radleys-91466-24126188/

Quote:
Carr, pictured, isn’t one of those musicians who dismisses his past achievements. In fact, he and The Boo Radleys’ former frontman Sice are about to begin working together again with Sice writing and Carr producing – it’s not a Boos reformation, though.

Shocked Surprised Cool

Even The NME give it 8/10.

The Fly one is a bit of a shocker though.....

Not a proper review, but this is how Word magazine describe the track they have on their free CD:

hey look everyone! I wrote a review for this website I have been writing for. Check it out if you so desire and if you think my writing is complete bollocks feel free to keep it to yourselves (or you can just tell me that it's complete bollocks).

That's a good review, I particularly like the phrase "ear-warming". In a move which industry analysts believe will add at left 2 million sales to the album I made 'Dead of Winter' the record of the week on my website a couple of weeks ago:

I wish the football season would hurry up and start. The only 'gossip' about Liverpool has involved our best players leaving us and Sylvain Distin joining us. Not good.

Uncut gave it 3/5 (fools!) although they haven't put it on line yet.

Slightly annoyed by the suggestion in a few reviews along the lines of "first good thing he's done since Wake Up BOO". Yes, everything going on in the world, and that's what I choose to get annoyed about.
