Thanks to Adam W. on twitter, I found out that Martin has got two new songs for sale on his bandcamp thingy...

http://sonnyboy.bandcamp.com/

They're called "Sailor" and "I Will Build A Road" and they're both rather lovely... How come I only hear about them now though? Razz

Now, if I could only remember my paypal login details... Confused

I bought them both...dunno though Martins recent output doesn't connect with me too much these days...I know this will change though and there will be something fab around the corner...

What recent output? Razz

I ended up buying them both too. I think that they're both pretty good but not up there with some of Mr Carr's classics. I still won't be demanding my money back though. Wink

The demos from 2010/11 also have some gems (perhaps slightly unpolished ones) so I'm really looking forward to the next album, or whatever the man comes up with next.

Is it sad that I'm still reading this messageboard almost daily after all these years?

More info on album http://www.tapeterecords.de/artists/martin-carr

And tracklisting and preorder (including vinyl!) at https://shop.tapeterecords.com/new/martin-carr-the-breaks.html . 26 September release.

Some familiar names there from the 2010-11 demos/ live shows. Orchestration on single sounds so lush, can't wait to see how those demos have been realised.

Hope everyone's well!

Just preordered the new album on vinyl! Cool

I don't recognise even half of the names, but what I have heard so far has been good, so I'm looking forward to this. It's good to see (and hear) that the captain is still going strong. Hopefully there'll be some tour dates too.

Dublin ain't big enough for both of us.

Actually, I'd love to come, I'll see if I can get things sorted out...
