Have a few beers tonight (not too many). It got me through my exams (just...!).
Is that any help?
By the way, does anyone know why I can't download Captain America from this site - I've never heard it! HELP! |

welcome lone stranger - you rightly point out that captain america is missing. it's a fine track and i will re-upload it for you in the next couple of days. no idea why it is missing, let's put it down to an administrative error.
the young irish chap is on to something as well - the two opening tracks of the grandaddy album are wonderful, fine delicate moments of lovely warm pop. also check out 'carrion', by british sea power, just a good old classic indie single done really well - a touch of bowie about it. you need to hear 'slow life' and 'the undefeated' off the new sfa album too, magic dust on them y'know. dandy warhols album is surprisingly good...inventive is the word. a bold move given current fashions. we should encourage this level of adventure from our bands by buying the records, the music press have given this album a real mixed response whilst the likes of the music and the white stripes are clocking 10/10 in every other review. whatsthatallabout? also, if you're going to download a track tonight, make it 'no trophy' by the bees - fucking top drawer that.
good luck to our sheff u fan tomorrow by the way. i was in cardiff 2 years ago 2 watch my team lose the d1 play-off final. kin nightmare that was but they're great days out them and you gotta treasure 'em. i got a feeling the blades are gonna do a job there tomorrow.

Have you seen the Granddaddy video? I like it, it is quite cool particularly when all the toys start dancing (Damn, there goes my cynical mystique!)
I also think i like the Kings Of Leon single I have heard; although it
might
just be intruiging shit, i don't know yet... _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

Last night when I was asleep I kept hearing this ferocious buzzing and dreaming of giant insects. Then I was sort of half awake and sweating like a beast, and there was a two foot wasp crawling over my duvet and its massive stinger was quivering and gleaming in the moonlight.
Turns out there was bluebottle buzzing around behind the curtain. That innocuous little insect gave me a fuckin rough night. |
Sounds like something out of
The teachings of Don Juan
by Carlos Castenada.
Is it just me or is the new Grandaddy single not quite the masterpiece that Grandaddy freaks like darragh think it is? Sure it's catchy Americana, but Grandaddy have done better themselves.
Anyone watching big brother? I'm not because as of this week I have no TV or pots and pans in my house. Things are going down hill rapidly! _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

I like Grandaddy, and I like that song, but to me they are pretty much 2nd divison compared to bands who sound much like them: F'lips, M'rev and MMJacket... _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

"Yerself is steam"
The Rev's debut album wrote the rulebook on badtrip freakout pyschedelia (or at least significantly updated it). Chasin' a bee, Coney Island Cyclone, and Fritterin'. Classics one and all.
Boces was a bit dodgy, but nearly everything else they have done has been class. _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

Have you got version with bonus disc of peel sessions and Car Wash Hair and stuff...? Ace, better then the real thing...
What was the crazy guy in them called, something Barker? Anyway he did an album which featured Marin Carr too: World by Shady... You see it all connects!

Okay, i've heard all the new Grandaddy now (tut tut..) and I have to say that it seems pretty ace... I have been sitting in the sun with it booming out the speakers in my house, drinking beer and reading Human Croquet...
Soon, my housemates will return and the peace will shatter. _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |
