So lets get it straight, is David Blaine achieving anything by sitting in this box, or is he just a clown taking the piss out of the thousands who will starve to death and not get a mention in any record books during the duration of his stunt.

He's been talking some waffle about Kafka and Dosteovsky, Van Gogh, and mental metamorphosis. This pseudo-intellectual bullshit is being presented to give more meaning and depth to his pathetic display. If his justification for starving himslef is mental enlightenment, why didn't he do it in his garage at home?

In the middle ages people were hung in cages at the side of the road to strave to death. IRA men starved themselves to death in protests during the early eighties and went longer than 40 days, people weren't encouraged to mill around watching those men die, and it wasn't broadcast live. So why should people be expected to give a fuck if this wannabe "messiah" sits in a cage digesting his muscles.

Good luck to him I say. Sitting in a box starving is less insensitive to me than anyone who eats at MacDonalds
