Hey All.

I have the Captain America Vinyl, so don't think I'm trying to rip things off Wink but....

Does anyone have MP3's of Let's Stick Together and Brave Captain's Blues?

Since moving into my own place I dont have a record player to listen to them Rolling Eyes

Cheers for any help.

Haha, you might be right, Kinx.
Well, seriously though (!), I will be busy enough in the near future, but reading all the messages here and posting some more nonsense has become a daily habit for me...! And bumping old threads is quite fun.
Well, that's me and my definition for 'fun'.
Oh fuck, this Elliott Smith album is good.

Rolling Eyes has anyone heard of burning (using a cd burner) a vinyl onto a cd? Wink

Yes, I ripped some old Boos stuff from vinyl.

You need Audiograbber. It's now freeware.
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html

This will let you rip from vinyl or any other external feed for that matter. You can't feed the record player straight into the PC, it has to go through a hifi amp, the line in on the PC is the wrong impedance for a phono connection.
I use the tape out connection on my hifi amp to go into the PC which then feeds back into the tape in on the amp, the PC effectively being the tape recorder. I actually don't have any PC speakers, the whole thing plays through the hifi. I suppose you could rig up the line out for a pair of decks into the PC - watch the levels if it's been trough an amp though.

If you buy the Easytools plugins for it you have a good method of cleaning up scratches and nosie. Not cheap and a bit of experimenting is needed to get right but gives excellent results once you've sussed it. Use CDRW's while you're playing with it - I didn't & ended up with lots of distorted coasters!

Not the simplest job in the world, but it does give good results.
I might be able to help you with some "warez" if you want to give it a go Wink

I'll get me anorak!
