Well is it? I have a fairly open mind towards things, and can even accept at times why people like Free, Jethro Tull, Marylin Manson, Enya and even the opening track of 'Brain Salad Surgery', however the only thing that really gets my back up is this evil man. What a wanker. There is simply no need for any of his 'work'. The Bastard even put me off seeing that Disney version of Tarzan. I have just found out he's done Brother Bear as well. Shant be watching that either then. Evil Evil Man. |

Musically, about as good as a dead chicken.
A few years ago I worked in Sussex for a bit. There was a local radio station that used to have Phil Collins records at least twice an hour. Turns out he owned it or something! You couldn't escape the bloody thing, it was like Groundhog day!
Wasn't he perfect as the pervy uncle in Tommy though! _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |

I fucking can't stand Phil Collins. I am now quite upset that he did the Brother Bear soundtrack. I quite liked that film after watching it with my niece. I had no idea that cunt did the music. Fuck. _________________ Martin O'Neill's Claret And Blue Army |

are people that make music really evil?
This board is getting a little bitter with the "this person is a cunt, that person is an evil shit"-isms going on.

Actually, that reminds me of Glastonbury 1995, where someone pitched their tent next to me with a flag reading "Don't fuck with the Weller Man"
I did of course have to make an alteration to it while they were away.

Hey, I have to admit something.
I have a single by Paul Weller.
It's called
It's Written In The Stars
.
I got it from my mother's son's sister's brother who bought it because it was very cheap.
I can't remember what it's like though... maybe I'll listen to it tomorrow. _________________

| I'm going to stick up for Phil, he was the biggest pop star around in the 80's inspite of not being good looking. Nowadays all pop stars are gorgeous and styled and beautiful, Phil gave hope to ugly men everywhere and I salute him for that. |

when i used to work in a record store in impoverished, small-town america, we literally could not keep phil collins in stock, and occasionally had a small list of people asking us to hold certain phil albums should they come in.
the odd thing: most of the people asking for phil collins were giant, tough-looking black dudes.
i also found the same thing to be true of hall and oates. go figure.

Well, all this talk of Hall and Oates has made me think of that other bloke who has never really had any musical attributes - Mick Hucknall. Didn't he sample Hall and Oates in one of his recent tunes, of which radio 2 played to death.Isn't Charlie Drake his Dad?
