I am well into "Infinity Land" by Biffy Clyro at the moment.
Also receiving heavy rotation is "Gargantuan" by Spooky which I've recently rediscovered..
I consider that "Bedshaped" by Keane is fantastic, the rest of the album is rubbish however.
Harvistoun Brewery "Bitter & Twisted" from Sainsburys is bloody excellent beer. Likewise Connemara Irish Whiskey and Camel "blue" fags.
I've possibly had too much, but I have enjoyed it which is the main thing.
Having to get up tomorrow and get some tyres for the car is a Very Bad Thing.

i got a good recommendation though i might be a few years behind some of you. i went out and bought surround sound speakers for the living room this week, and have been listening to the last two sfa albums in said format. man it's incredible - these guys are really pioneers of this format!
i loved the surround sound at the live shows, especially the techno part of man don't give a fuck, the way the sound started doing circuits of the room, racing around you.
to have the same in the living room is quite an experience, and for anybody who has said technology i would have to signpost you to "receptacle for the respectable" and "no sympathy" in particular - the climaxes to those to tracks are just awesome. proper shits the cats up though - you should see their faces with all the rumbling and buzzing and shit!
anyway, the point of what i was going to say was it got me thinking what will bravecaptain come up with on the day when he too becomes armed with this surround sound technology? now there's an exciting thought... |

The Earlies 'Those Were the Earlies' is fucking ace.
This band The Silent League I like loads. The main bloke used to tinkle the ivories for Mercury Rev, on their recent tours anyway.
The Magic Numbers are also ace.
I think I was asleep when Grandaddy released 'Sumday' but I've just started listening to that and it's tops, espescially 'I'm On Standby'
I saw 'City of God' a couple of weeks ago and that was fantastic.
Just started reading 'Shadow of the Wind' by Carlos Zafon, but I'm only on the third page so it's a bit too soon to say how good it is. |

What's Evil Genius for PC like?
I remember someone recommending it here some time ago and I had a look at their website too, but is the actual game worth buying then? And what is it like? I haven't bought any games for ages so I thought I could play something again. There's Pro Evolution Soccer 4 coming out in a couple of days though... mmm. _________________

Moving Units, LA band, I saw them for the second time last night, what an excellent gig! check them out: www.movingunits.net
we even had 2 decent support bands, Seeing Scarlet, who I hope to hear more of, and 3hoswomexicansandatinofspanners who are as crazy as their name suggests.
the result: red eyes, smelly hair, tired legs, fuzzy ears! oh and I bought a t-shirt, me who almost never buys band t-shirts! |
