With regards the drawing of balls in the cup draw....
Prem and championship sides are no.s 1-44 in alphabetical order (ie Chelsea sit next to Cardiff and Cov) while the sides that made it thru the 2nd round are 45-64 using the position that they were drawn out in the 2nd round draw (ie Exeturd or Donny would have been 64 regardless of who won the match)...phew!
Of course the nature of the time-space continuum (sp) suggests that the balls would have come out differently if results had been otherwise.
And the draw was obviously fixed.... why no all-prem ties? |

Reading will enter the competition now on the third round and will play against Stockport County or Swansea City. Enjoy! _________________

i wouldn't expect a reply from that. i sent them a message to moan about semi-final ticket prices a few years ago and surprisingly enough got no reply. although maybe you'd be more polite than i was... |

| Wow, the football thread has now reached 50 pages, far outstripping the success of my 'I've got a bit of a hangover' thread. Congratulations to all concerned and here's to the next 50 pages of in depth sporting debate. |

you're probably right, but there's no doubt that gerrard has gone down significantly in many people's opinions (including mine) since the summer fiasco.
he was immense last season, and as a red he was almost untouchable, but how close he came to going to chelsea shows that there is no loyalty in football. ok, he didn't go in the end but it's surely only a matter of time unless we start winning championships soon.
that letter is rubbish because his performances have been really good again this season, but you can understand if people have lost some respect for gerrard as a man. disappearing into the dressing room on saturday when subbed rather than staying to watch his team wasn't exactly a highlight. |
