Does anyone have access to any of their stuff, and if so would they be willing to copy it for me. I'm sure I can come to some arrangement to make some sort of payment.

Many Thanks
Katie

Dear Tommy Boo Ltd

Ref: Tonto's Expanding Headband.

They are some band from my Dad's youth, and he's been after getting some of their stuff for years, it's his birthday soon and I am trying to surprise him. However I did see a cd album of theirs on e-bay recently, but it was over £90! A bit steep for me at the moment, so trying my luck to see if anyone has any. Sorry for the confusion.

Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Katie 'Ken' Cowdrey

Ah, I see.
Well, I'll ask some people who might have something like that and see if they / I can help you. I'll let you know.

katieken - read your PMs and try to reply a.s.a.p. please.

I got a whole album by Tonto's Exp. HB... it's really weird but I can't stop listening to it now! Katieken's dad must be really cool. Very Happy

My favourite songs so far are 'Cybernaut', 'Timewhys' and 'Tontomotion'.
Great stuff!

Tonto's Expanding Headband was the name of the modular Moog synth system put together by Paul Beaver and Bernie Krauss- two salesmen whose job it was to sell the beastie to rock stars. Instead, they ended up actually doing session work for the Byrds, Stevie Wonder and George Harrison (Wonderwall Music is essentially them showing George how to get sounds from the Moog. He just slapped his name on the cover and pronounced it a soundtrack)

2 things to note:

a) the synth was a whole rooom full of gear with no presets. everything was hard wired with patch chords and one could never get the same sound twice.

b) their album will absolutely warp your spine and quite possibly get your dad kicked out of the lodge.

This has been "Moments in Epehemeral Music Trivia" now back to your regularly scheduled bear-bating.
