Who else thinks that it's a shit tune?

No one even likes the Queen, and the rest of the world is surely laughing at the monarch media puppets.

It's quite ridiculous actually - it's 2005 and people still worship other people who wear funny hats. I see the Royal Family as some sort of a tourist attraction, but some people take it far too seriously, it's a bit sad really.

Just finished reading Martin's earlier blog entry again where he mentions "Jerusalem"... now that would be a right national tune for England, don't you think?

Tune is awful. Lichenstein share the tune as well so we're not alone.

As for the Queen well I used to be a staunch repubilican but if we had a President in the UK it'd only be a 'orrible fuck up and seeing how most of mps and pms turn out I don't wanna add to the shitesters runnin' the country. The Queen has no political power and if it was just her and her immediates (say first 2 heirs to the throne and no one else) who we funded i'd be quite happy for them to stay as figureheads.

Think they should all give us a turn at having our face on the stamp though, she shouldn't hog that all the time. |

Anyway, I agree with Billy Conolly, we should have the theme tune to The Archers as the National Anthem. _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |

Tommy T, you realize what is happening don't you? You are getting old! You gradual appreciation of old fashioned and useless traditions are a clear sign of the aging process taking its toll...ahahahaha...

The Sex Pistols version of "God Save the Queen" could be good though. _________________

'Tis too true. I've reached such an age now that when I see bands these days i'd rather go home to a cup of cocoa than carry on and go clubbing. And worse than that I moan about absolutely everything. |
