I went to see a Boo Radley live for the first time in 28 years the other week, and ended up in A&E ten days later. I'm clearly an amateur.

Did you end up in casualty because the Gallaghers are avid readers of this forum, and hunted you down for your, "Real shit" comments?

An even better question would be...... why did you go at all?

I'm going to see them next week... coz I got a free ticket.

The fact I saw them 2 years ago, also for free, and they bored me has not put me off
Cool

fucking hell, i didn't realise i had to explain myself to you every time i step out the door.

i went because i was offered a ticket (in a box), it was five minutes from my house, i had nothing else to do, i like free beer, i felt like it.

i did meet noel, deep, deep into the night. what transpired between us only he could say, i was slightly worse for wear by then having been out for 13 hours (i finally got to bed at two the next day) but he gave me a big hug which was much appreciated. all my criticisms of their music i stand by because it's all done out of love.i also saw my old mate gem and matt and steve from gene who i used to be good friends with. i didn't see a single band except for 15 minutes of the coral (which was ace). i hate the fucking foo fighters.

hate.

them.

i stood up a bit too fast at one point and fell onto a table. i must have cut my finger on a broken glass cos the next thing there was blood everywhere.

i was going to write a rather amusing blog about it but i after writing that i'm not sure i can be arsed. i'll do it about philip glass instead. now that was a good gig.

Oh, I'm not alone in my dislike of the FF.

Love & Peace

No, cuz I hate 'em too.

My girlfriends sister is absolutely crazy about them and never stops going on about their (supposed) wonderfulness.

She actually won a competition to make one of their videos a couple of years back and did something ace with blow-up dolls dressed to look like the band.... which is the only thing i like about them. AT ALL!

Come on now people those aren't very Christmassy sentiments are they? "Everlong", "Stacked Actors", "All My Life" - the Foo Fighters have written some great slabs of meaty rock. I couldn't be arsed listening to an entire album but as a singles band they're nice to have around. Plus Dave Grohl is the most affable man in rock. At this time of year you should save your hatred for those more deserving of it such as that bastard King Herod and Channel 4 "funnyman" Jimmy Carr.

I like some Foos too, mostly singles, but I was trying to get out of going too see them with a free ticket. In fact, I succeeded... although the gig is a few days away yet. They've just taken the tunes out of the songs altogether now and gone for a heavier sound
