Its funny isn't it..... I look back on my life.

I look back in terms of music - I relate any particular point in my life back to a particular tune or album.

So it seems only fitting, I should dedicate, a fair portion of my paltry existence to Martin Carr.

Don't get me wrong - he talks some shit. But it's honest shit. I went to america circa 1992. All I remember on the journey is listening to "everything's alright forever". It means nothing to you. It means everything to me.

So what?!?

So it's fucking great, thats what.

I look at my watch.It say's 9.25.

EH?

I've kinda given up, so I hope someone can carry on my sense of indignity. (that's not the right word - how about a sense of humility?)

I'm starting to sober up......

Love to Martin for all the tunes (Cos it REALLY - REALLY - changes peoples lives - not in a preaching way, in a kind of think for yourself way)

xxx

(Im stravin' for me gravy....)

i've only just started listening to everything's alright forever, and i'm head over heels in love with it. almost on a plane with giant steps and c'mon kids for me, if not every bit as much...on...said plane.

i'm a bit of a jjonny-come-lately with regards os boos, but i've been absolutely obsessed with their back catalogue for what seems like months now (perhaps over a year, as i can remember sharing a very intimate moment with giant steps on boxing day 2004), and this is because i can't stop peeling away new layers, like some exquisite onion. firstly, my interest was sufficiently aroused by the latter 4 albums (or is it alba?) to seek out all of the b-sides from this period. i'd reccomend amazon marketplace for this, they were all going for dirt cheap, some even for £0.01p! each respective set of boo sides is like some great lost album.

then, obviously, i stumped up for everything's alright forever and have been blown away anew. then learning to walk - i am currently obsessed with 'kaleidoscope' and 'everybird'.

no band has made this kind of impact on me since i first started listening to super furry animals. a modern day beatles and beach boys, these two.

now to check out all the bravecaptain shizzle. i've got advertisements for myself, which is sounding like some class stuff at the moment.

right, i better go catch up on the footy. we're 1-0 down at millwall, with a frontline of james mcfadden and marcus bent. dark days indeed.

yours fawningly,
jjon

there are threads called 'toshi's thread - january' and 'toshi's thread - february' with lyrics to the first two months. nothing since then.
