thursday afternoon; frank 2 and i worked on 'whatever happened to the fingertipsaint?'. i knew what i wanted but was stuck with this stupid voice so i sent mary a textful of flattery, love and bribes, asking her to come and do some singing for me. she readily agreed (well actually she agreed on the proviso that i go out for a drink with her afterwards. i'm afraid to say i did) and so we spent a great afternoon singing harmonies and working on some 'shouting'. i love singing with mary, it reminds me of when sice and i used to do our harmalades. we sang up a storm of melody and then, as is our wont, started shouting the daphne and celeste classic 'ooh stick you' which sounded ace so i changed the words and we ripped that motherfucker right off. it actually sounded more like the go team when we had finished. no worries.
