Boys and girls in america by the hold steady. Deceptively genius rock music, with depth-charged lyrics _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

I reckon,
bc - distractions
Muse - Black Holes...
New York Dolls - One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This
Black Crowes - Lost Crowes
Tom Waits - Orphans
Songs wise,
I'll go with Running The World but I'd plump for Knights Of Cydonia over Invincible. I also dig Lovelight by Robbie Williams, Maneater by Nelly Furtado also The Yeah Yeah Yeah song by Flaming Lips. _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |

Best gig moments of the year:
- Seeing Mogwai play My Father My King as the second encore at the Albert Hall (spine tingling!)
- Martin dedicating a song to my girlfriend and I at Secret Garden Party
- Seeing Richard Hawley play 'Ocean' at End Of The Road festival
It's been a good year!

For albums released this year, I can only think of three that have as of yet warranted repeated listens: 'How We Operate' by Gomez, 'The Corner of Miles and Gil' by Shack and the magnificent 'At War With The Mystics' by The Flaming Lips which, in my humble opinion, is the most astonishing album to sensurround my ears and brain so far this century.
There, I said it. |
